The EPA’s statistics in 2007 showed that computer products made up 205.5 million units of disposed e-waste out of a total of 372.7.  This means computer parts made up approximate 55% of e-waste.  Televisions made up 26.9 million units and cell phones, 140.3.  Of those 205.5 million computer parts, 157.3 million were thrown out while 48.2 million were recycled, a recycling rate of 18% by weight.
