What do you mean by this question? Do you mean those who do not have electricity because they cannot afford it or those who chose to live “off the grid?” If it is the first, then the percentage is very small, less than 1% and this is mostly made up of the homeless. (That being said, less than 1% is still around 500,000 people who are without electricity and that is still a large number.) If your question was the second version, there are about 350,000 people who live off the grid and provide themselves with their own energy.
