Doing the math on how many people die per year can give you an idea of what part of the earth is most affected by pollution.
Water Pollution: Kills just over 5 million a year
Air Pollution: Kills twice an many as water pollution
Hunger: Kills around 7 million a year
One of the primary causes of hunger is industrial development, and the pollution caused for the resources consumed in first world countries.
Almost half of all worldwide deaths are caused by pollution. How many of these are directly attributable to hunger I’m not sure but there’s no doubt 1st world countries are some of the biggest polluters.
