The areas most affected by Global Warming are, not surprisingly, the Arctic poles. Some scientists believe these regions are warming twice as fast as other regions around the world, which could lead to huge rises in sea levels. As the ice caps melt, they fail to reflect large amounts of sunlight that help cool the planet, thus leading to more melt and faster warming. The poles are truly the canaries in the coal mine for our planet’s climate woes.
