What part of building a solar panels is the worst for the environment?

Mining the metals used to create the photovoltaic cells causes heavy metals to be leaked into the environment. The creation of NF3 in the atmosphere is also a byproduct of the production of solar panels. This is worse than CO2 because it can stay in the atmosphere up to five times longer than CO2. Solar panels are only 4 times cleaner than petroleum energy as a result.
