Pangea is the name for the ‘super-continent’ that once existed here on Earth. As the plates that comprise earths surface slowly move over time, continent locations shift. About 225 million years ago during the Permian age, all of the continents on Earth were mashed together, scientists refer to this super-continent as Pangea. They began breaking up about 200 million years ago during the Triassic, and have continued to move into their present positions.
