    Acrylic is a clear plastic which can be used in many things. Some items it is used in, besides nail polish, are paint, fabric, fish tanks, awards, picture frames, display cases, cutting boards and shelves. Acrylic paint is often used for fine art, but also for homes and other buildings.

    Acrylic fiber is also popular to use to make yarns for sweaters and other knit items.
