what is olive squalene

As opposed to shark-delivered squalene, olive squalene is produced by the hydrogenation of the squalene found in olive oil. Squalene is a botanical lipid very similar to human lipids in weight and structure that is oft-used in cosmetics. We produce small amounts of squalene, but not always enough to keep our skin smooth and healthy — olive squalene is used to improve skin health as a whole and to attack a variety of different skin issues.
