What is old growth redwood forest wood used for?

Redwood lumber is typically used for flooring, paneling, and decking. Unfortunately many old growth forests (also called virgin forests, ancient forests, and primeval forests) are being cleared for redwood lumber. This disrupts centuries-old ecosystems and threatens indigenous species.
