Yes the blue ringed octopus is the most common which has at least 10 subspecies. It’s called blue ringed octopus because when they are alarmed they display small blue rings on their skin which have around 2mm diameter. They’re very small, with a 5cm (2inch) body and 10cm (4inch) arms.
