To understand what an ocean census is, we must know what a census is. A census is the systematic collection and recording of information from a given population. An ocean census is just that, except instead of just recording data about humans like the census’ that we conduct do, an ocean census covers every living thing we find in a particular ocean.
Hope this helps!
An ocean census is a global count and documentation of the population of different species in the ocean.
