Obama and his administration support renewable energy, and wind power in particular. Pushing renewable energy was part of Obama’s original platform when he ran for president in 2008, and his administration has pushed for the development of wind power offshore in the Atlantic, among other things. Also, in a visit to Iowa in 2010, he spoke on the benefits of wind power.
Sfincher is correct, that the Obama Administration does support renewable energy. In a recent visit to Reno’s ElectraTherm heat-to-energy company, he spoke openly about cutting $4 billion dollars of subsidies to the oil industry to offer incentives to renewable energy companies. That money will also be reinvested into the US economy by funding American companies that hire American workers.
