The Obama administration recently pledged 475 million dollars to a four year plan intended to clean up the Great Lakes.  The plan targets the 5 most toxic areas, extends protection to 100,000 acres of surrounding wetlands, and aims to reduce the amount of invasive species and phosphorus runoff.  The plan also involves an effort to restock the overfished lake sturgeon.
