Wild salmon are higher in protein and lower in fat.  They also contain higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, and lower levels of omega-6 fatty acids.  It is believed that omega-3 acids are better for your heart than omega-6, and it is important to maintain a low ratio of omega-6 to omega-3s.
