Grains and corn are the most often grown crop in the United States. Attached is a link to the US EPA site about the major crops grown in America. Corn, Soybeans, Grain, Wheat, Cotton, Sorghum, and Rice in that order.
Corn is the big one. Corn is in almost everything we eat. High-fructose corn syrup is in everything from popsicles to whole wheat bread. In fact, one of the reasons that the midwest is pushing to use ethanol as fuel is because there is an excess of corn.
