The Nuclear Free Vermont Tour was a month long tour of Vermont run by greenpeace in an attempt to spread awareness about clean renewable energy, and try and get support to shut down the aging Vermont Yankee nuclear reactor. The tour was conducted in greenpeace’s solar truck and visited all sorts of establishments to talk to people about accepting cleaner energy and trying to get rid of what they consider an unsafe reactor because the Vermont legislature will be conducting a vote to decide whether or not to keep it open after 2012.
