    Nitric Acid has several important uses that we may already be aware of. The first and most common is the acidic agent in several explosives such as TNT, nitro glycerin and gun cotton. It is also used in many fertilizers that are nitrogen based. Since it can be implemented in salt form, it can be used in many dyes and perfums, as well as a purifying/etching agent in gold silver and bronze.
