The Nissan Ellure is a concept car. It made its debut in an LA car show this year. It is not intended for production, though it has some familiar features of other Nissan cars. In making the Ellure, they experimented with the aerodynamics to create less drag. Nissan tried to be eco-friendly in designing the interior as well, and used all recycled materials for their suede seats. It has been described in size as somewhere between the Altima and the Maxima, and it is made to look futuristic.
The Nissan Ellure concept car has been called “a next-generation hybrid powertrain.” This name comes from the design including a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, a 25 kW electric motor, Intelligent Dual Clutch Control, a lithium-ion battery, and front-wheel drive. The Ellure concept also received the PURE DRIVE badge which signifies that is CO2 emissions and use of fuel would both be notably low.
