Newspaper wood (called Kranthout in Dutch) is composed of newspaper which is rolled into logs, which can be milled, drilled, and sanded just like regular wood. The wood uses recycled newspaper product so it is a promising way to reduce newspaper waste. It is also manufactured with special glue so that it can be recycled easily again.

Want to recycle your old newspaper and junk mail as wood for your fireplace? According to this video, you can!

It’s recommended that you use your newspaper logs with real wood, and it will burn better. Newspaper logs can create more ash that wood logs, but at least you’ll have an eco-friendly fire!
