Western, English-speaking nations usually rank the worst; the study I’ve found puts Ireland at the top, with 11 tons of carbon produced per person for year. The US is second, with 9 tons per person. However, if we look at it from an overall emissions perspective rather than per person, the US is overall the worst, with 2.8 billion tons of carbon per year. China is a close second, with 2.7 billion. These statistics come from late 2007.
