Mount Baker, WA. In 1999, Mount Baker Ski Area, located on a subsidiary peak, set the world record for snowfall in a single season. (1,140 inches/95 feet/2,896 cm).

Although Mount Baker ski resort has the highest RECORDED snowfall in one year, there are areas in the world where the snowfall is so intense that it wouldn’t be feasible for one to truly measure. The St. Ellias mountains, the Chugach mountain range, much of the British Columbia Coast range, Patogonia in southern Chile and the Kangchenjunga massive in Eastern Nepal are would fall under this category.
