Currently, this question is heavily debated as scientists argue that all ecosystems are important for the larger ecosystem that is Earth. However, most will agree that damage to wetlands stands to cause the most problems. There is great biodiversity in wetlands, which is under serious threat. A close second would be coral reefs, which are quickly dying off due to pollution and an abundance of carbon dioxide.
