What is the most sustainable fruit crop we have?

    The sustainabilty of a fruit crop depends highly on where and how it is grown, not the fruit itself. Eating local, organic produce in season is one of the most sustainable ways to eat, no matter what kind of fruit you are eating. Apples, peaches, and strawberries can all be grown well in the US. Hardier fruits will not be as susceptible to pests therefore needing no chemical pesticides.
