I just searched “most expensive nature photo” and found a list of the top ten most expensive photos ever sold; and Number Two on the list — “The Pond-Moonlight” (taken in 1904) — sold for a whopping $2,928,000! (If this is true, then that’s probably the most expensive nature photo ever taken…) I don’t know if it should be considered a standard “nature” photo like someone would take nowadays for a nature magazine, but that’s certainly interesting nevertheless.
