Perhaps the most important tool in a scientist’s arsenal is a ‘Scientific Method’. This more of a practice of obtaining information through experiments. Its main strength is that it requires multiple tests to verify the results. This practice is what allows scientists to assert claims, the fact that their results can be replicated. As a general rule, if an experiment’s findings cannot be duplicated, then no assertion of facts can be made based on the findings. A scientist must be able to duplicate his method through the Scientific Method before he can think about making any concrete claims.
