One of the best green home improvements is to invest in appliances with the Energy Star label. These appliances are labeled by the EPA as the most efficient on the market and save money, energy, and water. As Energy Star appliances use less electricity, they also produce less greenhouse gas emissions. Some states offer rebates and tax incentives for upgrading old appliances.
To add to the previous answers, you can use natural cleaning products! Vinegar is a great cleaner and you can use it clean practically anything in your kitchen – especially the microwaves and its smells. Another way is to change the type of lighting you use, such as switching to a CFL. Like the other answers have said, you can switch to Energy Star appliances.
