It’s about creating stability for people. We can never move forward until everyone is on the same page. World peace, a global currency, these things can never be achieved while there are haves and have nots. The GDP of 41 of the most indebted countries in the world, which is 567 million people, is less than the wealth of the 7 richest people in the world combined. I don’t think we can make these awesome ideals possible unless there is a more equal spread of wealth across the world. It’s also about raising the bar as far as what are acceptable conditions for humanity because what we allow for others, we also allow for ourselves. Check out American shantytowns, such as the new shanty towns outside Los Angeles full of people who lost their homes in the recession. The link is posted in my citations.
oops forgot one of my citations. That statistic comes from this site http://www.globalissues.org/issue/2/causes-of-poverty
