What is the most harmful chemical in copper mining?

Most of the chemicals mentioned in the other answer are not really used in copper mining in big ways (exceptions, explosives, and things related to vehicles). Copper mining generates sulfuric acid through reactions between ground water and sufides in the rock, and that is a big problem, probably the most common and probably the biggest problem – but it is not from sulfuric acid that is brought in to help with mining.
