The most fuel efficient car from Nissan would be the Nissan Leaf. It’s completely electric, so uses no fuel whatsoever!
The most fuel efficient car that Nissan currently makes is its Altima hybrid. Boasting 35 mpg in the city with it’s part electric engine, and 33 mpg on the freeway, it’s one of the most fuel-efficient gasoline vehicles on the roadways. Nissan is, however, developing it’s electric vehicle, the Leaf. The Leaf is rumored to have around 376 miles per gallon, and actually functions more efficiently than the Chevrolet Volt.
If electric cars are considered, then the Nissan Leaf would have to be the most efficient. The amount of miles an electric car gets to the gallon can be determined because according to the EPA, 33.7 kilowatt hours of electricity are equivalent to one gallon of gasoline. According to this formula, the Nissan Leaf can get up to 99 miles per gallon of hypothetical gas, with 106 miles in the city and 92 miles on the highway. This efficiency has given the Leaf the best rating in its class.
