The most famous ozone scientist is probably G.M.B. Dobson, a British meteorologist who extensively explored the layer’s properties. The Dobson Unit is the unit used to measure atmospheric ozone. The scientists Charles Fabry and Henri Buisson are also often associated with the ozone layer. Afterall, they are the French physicists who discovered the layer in 1913.
Susan Solomon also played an integral part in naming chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as the cause of the Antarctic Ozone Hole.
