The most expensive coffee is called “Kopi Luwak” (“Civet Coffee” in English). It is produced in Southeast Asia by having civets (cat-like tree-living mammal) forage on coffee plantations, digest the coffee fruits and excrete the beans which are then collected. It is claimed to have a particularly strong taste and aroma. It is sold for about $150 a pound ($325 a kilogram).
Haha, Starbucks if you ask me!
