What is the most endangered species in the rainforest?

The Bengal Tiger is one of the most endangered species in the rainforest (it’s a shame that one was just killed in Ohio during the whole private zoo animal escape fiasco.)  Jaguar’s and Tamarind Monkey’s are at the top of the list too.  It is really quite a shame that these beautiful animals may not be around much longer due to poachers and humans impeding upon their habitat.

The Tamarind Monkey is nearly extinct mainly because of its fur, which can be worth up to $20,000 on the black market.  Toucans are also in big trouble because of its dwindling habitat as well as frequent capturing for the commercial pet market.  Chimpanzees, Orangutans, Harpy Eagles, Poison Dart Frogs, and even Jaguars have all been put on the endangered list.
