There isn’t necessarily a single toilet that is the most efficient. But the greenest toilets, in general, are the low-flow toilets, which use less water with each flush, as well as the dual-flush toilets, having different switches for different amounts of water flow. The older toilets use about 7 gallons of water for each flush, and these new “green” ones only use an average of 1.7 gallons and some of the dual-flush ones at only 0.8 gallons/flush.
