It looks like 2009’s most efficient sports car is the Nissan Altima Coupe, followed closely by the Audi TT Coupe. The Altima Coupe is capable of 23 MPG (city) and 32 MPG (hwy).
There are differences between which of these cars is actually the most fuel efficient, but sources have these two sports cars as the years’ most fuel efficient: the Audi A5 Cabriolet gets 32 mpg highway mileage and 23 mpg city mileage. The contender is the Nissan Altima Coupe, which gets 33 mpg highway mileage and 22 mpg city mileage. Both cars have an estimated yearly carbon footprint of 7.1 tons.
