The four models of the Ford Focus sedan (the S, the SE, the SEL, and the SES) all have the same fuel efficiency. For manual transmission, the EPA estimate is 24 mpg for city driving and 35 mpg on the highway. Automatic has the same specs except the highway mpg goes down to 34. The cheapest model, the S, is probably the most efficient otherwise because it does without the interior and exterior “extras” that make the other models more expensive. Less material and less labor means less energy expenditure, thus more efficiency.
