In 2005 130 countries cam together and decided to ban what they thought to be the 12 worst pesticides in the world. Those pesticides included aldrin, chlordane, DDT, dieldrin, endrin, heptachlor, hexachlorobenzene, mirex, and toxaphene. It also covered the industrial chemicals PCBs and hexachlorobenzene, which are also used as pesticides. The converntion also covered dioxins and furans, which are unintentional by-products of manufacturing. So these could be considered the worst.
