Whole grains and beans are wonderful sources of protein and are easy to make. Beans can be spiced to have a variety of flavors, from Mexican to Indian to Asian.
I’m veg, and I can tell you, most mainstream restaurants have a veggie burger and/or a veggie burrito (depending on the style of restaurant), so I guess these are the most common. I feel like I’ve eaten a few hundred of both. Unfortunately, sometimes these “veg” products contain animal by-products, like lard, chicken stock, cheese, or eggs. Best learn to cook if you’re trying hard to be a vegetarian.
