Solar radiation refers to the electromagnetic radiation that the sun emits. Most of the radiation that is emitted by the sun is within the visible band width of 500 nm. This radiation is created in the sun when hydrogen is converted into helium.
Probably infrared. Our ozone layer absorbs most UV, and although visible light is all we can see, it makes up a small part of the solar radiation that reaches earth.
