As far as production percentages go, factory farming or industrial farming is the most prevalent in the United States. With three quarters of chickens and half of all cattle being raised in factory farm settings. Crop wise, it is the same. Large companies like Monsanto and Cargill sell their specially patented seeds to farmers to plant huge tracks of land for harvest, muscling out smaller farmers. I read somewhere than Monsanto controls more than 90 percent of the US soybean production through their special seeds.
