Just a select amount of food cause 90% of allergic reactions. They are often referred to as the ‘big eight’. The big eight includes milk, eggs, peanuts (groundnuts), nuts from trees (including Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and walnuts), fish, shellfish (including mussels, crab and shrimps), soya, and wheat. Most kids are allergic to nuts, and most adults to shellfish.
