What is the most common animal that lives in desert climate?

This is a difficult question to answer, as it depends on which desert you are talking about. For example, the most common desert animal in the southwestern United States is the jackrabbit, whereas in the Kalahari it is the sprinbok, and in the Sahara it is the Dorcas gazelle. However, as in most habitats, invertebrates (insects) most likely far outnumber any mammals.
