Both plant and animal cells have common components. The cell membrane encompasses the cell and acts like a glue and protectant to keep all other cell parts in place. The nucleus is found in the center part of the cell; it’s acts as the cells’ brain and controls all of the cells’ activities. The nucleus also holds the cell’s DNA and genetic information. The cytoplasm is the glob like stuff that is located inside of the cell where all of the activities are occurring. This part of the cell is made up of water and other chemicals and is the location for all of the cell parts except for the nucleus (Oracle Education Foundation, 2011).
