    The most abundant element on the Earth’s crust is oxygen. Oxygen makes up 46.6% of the Earth’s mass. But on a much larger scale, the most abundant element in the UNIVERSE is hydrogen. It accounts for 75% of the entire universe’s mass, while oxygen only ranks third.
