The MLB has created a Team Greening Program in which teams collaborate with the NRDC to green different aspects of a team’s operations. This can include energy use in stadiums and lockers, water use, recycling, transportation, etc.

Each team in the majors also has their on way of looking out for the environment as well. For example, the Texas Rangers gave the first 15000 fans into a game last Mothers Day reusable shopping bags. On Earth Day, the Seattle Mariners made it so that every food item and their containers were compost-able and gave fans an opportunity to do so.
