Micro-wind energy is a wind turbine on a smaller scale. These mini wind turbines can be installed on top of houses or apartment buildings.
There is also a new technology being developed which uses aero-elastic flutter. Instead of using a turbine, costs are minimized by using a wind belt which flutters between two magnets (the costs of materials total under $10), this creates an electric current which can be used to power small devices such as radios, led lights or clocks. This technology was developed by a young inventor named Shawne Frayne.
Micro-wind energy is created by smaller wind turbines.
