What makes the Siamang endangered

The Siamang (Symphalangus syndactylus) are from the gibbon mammal species found in the forests of Malaysia and Indonesia.  They live in groups and many siamang are being driven out of their habitats due to humans clearing their forests for palm oil production.  The young are also captured and sold into the pet market.
