Alloys are metals infused with other elements to form a metallic matrix that makes it stronger and more resilient. This usually involves heating the metals with other elements and sometimes other metals. Bronze for example is an alloy of zinc and copper fused together and become extremely malleable, where as steel is an alloy that combine iron with carbon to increase its strength.
