I assume you mean sustainable hear. A sustainable house would be one that emits is carbon neutral (emits no greenhouse gases). This can be achieved with a combination of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The house may be fully and properly insulated, contain energy efficient appliances, and be designed such that heat and A/C is used minimally. The house would purchase only renewable energies like solar, wind, and hydroelectric for its remaining energy needs. The house could have a small wind turbine or solar panels installed to directly power it. With some combination of these things, the house would emit no greenhouse gases and thus be sustainable.
