If it uses natural ingredients it’s considered eco-friendly. There are brands like Seventh Generation that offer eco-friendly dish soap. You can also use things like castile soap that is made from vegetable oils.
Definitely read the ingredients, don’t just trust that is says all natural. Some key things to look for are sulfates, phthalates, nitrogen, and phosphorus. You want to make sure all the chemicals are biodegradable and do not persist in environment and bioaccumulate. I have a book called “Gorgeously Green” that lays out everything you want to stay away from in all of your household cleaners, and I highly recommend it.
