Too much caffeine, for example, more than 500 to 600 mg a day can lead to the following side effects:

    • Insomnia
    • Nervousness
    • Restlessness
    • Irritability
    • Stomach upset
    • Fast heartbeat
    • Muscle tremors

Even the smallest amount of caffeine can make you feel jittery depending on your sensitivity to it.  it is best to avoid caffeine altogether if you experience any of the above side effects.  A great substitute are non-caffeinated teas
